We hope we can eventually gather at the new St Charles Police Station in St. Charles every 2nd and 4th Monday evenings of the month. The first part of each gathering is a general presentation on a topic related to the job search process, such as dealing with personal and family stress, resume writing, interviewing skills, financial management, career skills assessment, networking, and automating the process. The second half of the program provides an opportunity for direct networking and interpersonal support. Individual assistance and guidance is provided, one-on-one, by steering team members and other vocational experts.
The program and the networking are ideal for those who are unemployed, under-employed or just looking for a new employment opportunity. The large majority of new jobs are found through networking, and participants are eager to help each other find the right contact to land a new position.
